† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
Looking for pic of MOON-kana- I found some Lolita pics and I fell in love with it. One year later I bought my first Lolita dress.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I like to have my own style, not to be as everybody. And with Lolita fashion I can express my feelings better. Also, I've always loved 18th century fashion.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Angelic Pretty, Mary Magdalene, Metamorphose temps de fille.
† Any other comments?
Be yourself. Don't care about if other people criticize your style. They cannot understand it.

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
When I was a child I was a big fan of Sailormoon, Digimon and things like that. I started to draw and to listen to Japanese music and when I was about 16 I fell in love with MaliceMizer and Mana. I found the page "animexx", the biggest online community in Germany for fans of Japan, cosplaying, jrock and started to write in a forum which was for fans from Moitie and the Gothiclolita-fashion. Short time later, I bought my first dress and visited my first jrock-concert and met a lot of really nice persons, who are good friends of mine until today.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I love the Japanese mentality, the exchange of culture and tradition and modernity. I love how fast you can get new friends, that you can visit conventions and can look at all these beautiful dresses and people and the fun they have. Also, it is always exciting to see people that you know for a long time from the internet in real life, in the first moment it's a really strange feeling. The negative aspect is that you have a lot of firends who you can only see a few times in the year, because they are living to far away (at a German meeting for example, there are often Gothic Lolitas from the Netherlands or Austria, also). It's a very special feeling to be at meetings and to be a "Golo," a cross between nostalgia and surreality and I really hope to keep it for a lot more years.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Moi-même-Moitié, Victorian Maiden, Juliette et Justine. Millefleurs, from time to time Metamorphose.
† Any other comments?
There are a lot of different ways to be a golo, some people say it's only a fashion-style, others say it is an attitude to life. Some people adhere strictly with the combinations of the clothes, others do it as they like and so on , and the only community that we all have is that we're thinking our way is the only one and the right. Because of this, especially for novices, it's really hard to become a solid part of us. So, instead of judging and disregarding them, everyone of us should try best to help them. Everybody knows how hard his own start probably was.

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
I once saw pictures of Gothic Lolitas on the internet and I was fascinated of the wonderful fashion. A bit later, I saw Mana-sama and was shocked how beautiful he was. That was when I started wearing the Gothloli style myself.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I always said that I wish I had been born in the Rococo epoque (even before wearing Lolita), and so Gothic Lolita is the perfect style for me. The dresses are frilly and I feel like a princess in them.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Moi-même-Moitié, Metamorphose temps de fille, Victorian Maiden and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright.
† Any other comments?
Feel free to be yourself! You won't regret it. ^^ And just one last thing: Lolita clothes are made of dreams!

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
I saw people in Tokyo on the street and fell in love with Lolita fashion. I've been wearing all kinds of subcategories ever since I was 12.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
The aesthetic, the composition and the shapes. I like how it makes one look special, picturesque and so cute.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Angelic Pretty, G.L.P., Innocent World, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Victorian Maiden, Bodyline, Mille Fleurs, Mille Noirs, Mam Maxicimam...but I also like Tripp and Hell Bunny and I love clothes designed by my boyfriend.
† Any other comments?
Individuality is very important to me, I like to cross borders and create my own personal style. When I do a photo-shoot it usually has a theme such as Alice in Wonderland or dolls. Thus I express different facets of my personality. I recently founded a band called Lolita KompleX together with former members of a very successful Gothic/Visual band and I'd love you to check it out!

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
2002 when i started to get into Malice Mizer. A bit too late unfortunately.
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
The feminine look. I was and still am pretty much a tomboy so I only look cute and girly when I wear lolita. It was also because of the fashion that I overcame my dislike of wearing skirts which changed the way I look completely.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Moi même moitié, Mary Magdalene, Victorian Maiden, Antique Beast and Innocent world. But I'm also in love with some Japanese punk and Goth brands as well.
† Any other comments?
I am currently obsessed with helping form a community in my country. When I started I only knew another girl that was into lolita actively and now we are growing with the help of the lj community (that just celebrated its 2nd anniversary).

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
When I was 11/12 I often read Manga/Anime magazines and some reports about Gothic Lolita. Since this time, I’m totally in love with the Lolita Fashion. At first I only drew girls in Lolita but since one year or so I’m wearing it by myself and loving it!
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
I love that the fashion is both cute and dark/mysterious. I think the historical elements, mixed with modern elements are together stunningly beautiful and I like the femininity of Lolita fashion. It makes me feel beautiful and self-confident.
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
Angelic Pretty, Moi Même Moitié, Innocent World, Baby the Stars Shine Bright.
† Any other comments?
These are the battle clothes of the precious ones, the few chosen to fight the many
who lack the power to see dreams. (Novala Takemoto)

† How were you introduced to Gothic Lolita fashion?
I met the Lolita style reading books about Japan and manga. I immediately loved the Harajuku girls!!!
† What do you find appealing about GL style and culture?
The Gothic Lolita girl has an irresistible charm: we are always baby in a world of dream…
† What are your favorite GL clothing brands?
My favourite Gothic Lolita brand is surely 'Baby the Stars Shine Bright', because I think about it as very romantic and so cute. Colors, tones and accessories seem to come from a beautiful tale, a fable.
At the same time, I love Vivienne Westwood's style, that's quite exactly the opposite thing, whith sadomaso tools, pins and blades, in perfect punk style.
† Any other comments?
My artwork are inspired by the Lolita culture and my thesis at “Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera” called 'The Concept of Kawaii in the Contemporary Art Japanese'. I love sweet Kawaii accessories… Kissu at all ^_-
